A Virtual Workshop

Are you thinking about designing and teaching a new course or module on game music but don’t know where to begin? This workshop is designed to help you pitch your idea to department chairs, administrators, and other decision-makers at your university and to provide advice and best practices related to designing a new course and navigating the bureaucracy required to get it on the books and offer it to students.
Panelists include:
Dr. William Gibbons, Dean, School of the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Dr Andra Ivănescu, Senior Lecturer in Game Studies, Brunel University of London
Dr Pete Smucker, Assistant Dean of the School of Music, Stetson University
This workshop is part of SSSMG’s High Score: Teaching Game Music in Higher Education initiative. High Score is a series of ludomusicology pedagogy workshops and events designed to provide tools, resources, and advice to anyone who teaches music in higher or further education and wants to include game music in their teaching practice.
A Zoom link for the event will be shared with registered participants.
