A Virtual Workshop

This session is designed to provide advice for anyone who teaches music theory or analysis courses or modules and would like to include video game music in the repertoire they use to teach various analytical techniques, and for those who are interested in exploring the analysis of video game music with their students.

Panelists for this session include:

– Sean Atkinson, Associate Professor of Music Theory, Texas Christian University

– Richard Anatone, Professor of Music Theory, Prince George’s Community College

– Julianne Grasso, Assistant Professor of Music Theory, Florida State University

– Elizabeth Medina-Gray, Associate Professor of Music Theory, History, and Composition, Ithaca College

This workshop is part of SSSMG’s High Score: Teaching Game Music in Higher Education initiative. High Score is a series of ludomusicology pedagogy workshops and events designed to provide tools, resources, and advice to anyone who teaches music in higher or further education and wants to include game music in their teaching practice.
