  The Hartt School\, University of Hartford\, West Hartford\, CT\n\nScholar
 s are invited to submit proposals for the sixth North American Conference 
 on Video Game Music\, which will take place March 30-31\, 2019\, at the Un
 iversity of Hartford. The conference organizing and program committee is c
 omposed of Karen M. Cook (organizer\, University of Hartford)\, Dana Plank
  (program chair\, The Ohio State University)\, Jim Buhler (UT Austin)\, Ne
 il Lerner (Davidson College)\, Elizabeth Medina-Gray (Ithaca College)\, St
 even Reale (Youngstown State University)\, and Matthew Thompson (Universit
 y of Michigan).\n\nThe keynote speaker for this year’s conference will b
 e composer Wilbert Roget II.\n\nWe are soliciting proposals for 20-minute 
 presentations on any aspect of music in games\, including\, but not limite
 d to:\n\n 	The history of music in video games\n 	Approaches to analyzing 
 game music\n 	Intersections of game music and other media (film\, TV\, etc
 .)\n 	Critical and/or hermeneutic approaches to game music\n 	Case studies
  of particular games\n 	Game music and pedagogy\n 	Ethnographic approaches
  to game music\n 	Performance of game music inside and outside of games\n\
 nWe are also soliciting proposals for a virtual lightning talk panel. A vi
 rtual lightning talk will be 10 minutes in length\, and will consist of a 
 pre-recorded video that will be available for viewing during the conferenc
 e. Conference attendance is not required to present a virtual lightning ta
 lk. Requirements for submitting a proposal for a lightning talk are the sa
 me as for in-person presentations.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAdditional information re
 garding the conference:\n\n 	Papers will be twenty minutes in length (exce
 pt lightning talks)\, with an additional ten minutes for discussion.\n 	Pr
 oposals are limited to 250 words\, and should include the title of the pap
 er\, but should otherwise include no identifying information\, including m
 etadata.\n 	In the body of an e-mail\, include your name\, institutional a
 ffiliation (if applicable)\, contact information\, and the title of your p
 aper.\n\n 	Please also indicate whether you would like your paper to be co
 nsidered only for an in-person version\, only for a virtual lightning talk
 \, or either. If no such indication is made\, we will assume you plan to p
 resent your paper in person.\n\n\n 	Email proposals to vgmconference@mail.
